In March 2019, the Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN (The PHN) engaged Beacon Strategies to undertake an evaluation of the outcomes of the Gumbi Gumbi Withdrawal Service against the program’s stated objectives. The Gumbi Gumbi AOD Withdrawal Management Service is a program commissioned by the PHN and delivered by Gumbi Gumbi Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation that aims to increase availability of alcohol and other drug (AOD) withdrawal management services in the Central Queensland region.

Evaluating the State-wide Oncoplastics Breast Reconstruction Initiative (SOBRI). SOBRI aims to improve access to breast reconstruction discussions and planning for breast cancer patients through a MDT case review, before undergoing mastectomy. The program is targeted to people living Queensland wide who would travel to Mater Health Services for their breast reconstructive surgery after undergoing mastectomy at regional hospitals across Queensland.
NewAccess is a national low intensity mental health early intervention program developed and licensed by beyondblue. The service is based on low-intensity behavioural therapy, a form of evidence-based psychotherapy that uses trained coaches to guide clients through a series of structured resources to address mental health issues identified by the person.

The review will inform the subsequent review phases and is the first step in the reform of Brisbane North PHN funded psychological therapy services.
