Workplace culture measurement support for Queensland Alliance for Mental Health

Status

September 2022 - November 2022.

Client

Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH)

Background

The Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH) is the peak body representing the Community Mental Wellbeing Sector in Queensland; supporting service providers and organisations through strategic partnerships, learning and development, and systemic advocacy.

In early 2022, QAMH engaged Beacon Strategies to develop a CEO performance framework and workplace culture measurement process. Beacon Strategies finalised these pieces of work in July 2022. On the back of a successfully facilitated process, we have been re-engaged to provide implementation support to QAMH regarding its workplace culture measurement process.

Approach

The purpose of the project was to support QAMH in implementing a fit-for-purpose culture measurement process, inclusive of a regular pulse survey and associated guidance to consistently administer the tool. Our proposed approach included the following components:

  • Facilitated a workshop with QAMH staff to develop a set of survey questions.

  • Developed the survey instrument.

  • Developed an organisational procedure to support the implementation, analysis, and reporting on the survey process.

We facilitated a workshop with QAMH staff aimed at developing a core set of culture measurement survey questions. This workshop also sought to clarify expectations about how the culture survey should be administered and reported on.
